Thank you for choosing Hugg.co.in for your mental wellness journey. Beginning therapy is a courageous step. This document explains what you can expect from the therapeutic process, your rights as a client, and how we will work together. Please read carefully, and feel free to ask questions at any time. Signing this form means you understand and agree to the information below.

1. Purpose of Therapy

Therapy provides a safe, confidential, and supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences. The aim is to support your emotional well-being, develop coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and work toward goals that matter to you.

2. Approach to Therapy

Our therapists at Hugg.co.in may integrate different evidence-based approaches, depending on your needs and goals:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Focuses on identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns.

  • Humanistic Therapy: Values self-exploration, authenticity, and personal growth.

  • Expressive/Creative Therapies: Use of journaling, art, or mindfulness as additional tools for healing.

Sessions may include conversations, exercises, mindfulness practices, or creative activities.

3. Nature of Therapy

  • Therapy may bring up difficult or painful emotions.

  • Growth often takes effort and time; progress may not always be linear.

  • Your openness and participation are key to positive outcomes.

4. Confidentiality

Everything shared is private, with exceptions required by law:

  1. If you are at risk of harming yourself or others.

  2. If there is suspicion of abuse of children, elders, or vulnerable adults.

  3. If records are mandated by a valid court order.

Whenever possible, your therapist will discuss these situations with you before taking action.

5. Session Details

  • Standard session length: 45 minutes

  • Frequency: decided mutually

  • Therapy may be short-term or long-term depending on your needs

  • You may discontinue at any time, though we encourage discussion before doing so

6. Fees & Cancellations

  • Fees will be communicated as per your chosen package.

  • Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Missed or late cancellations may incur a partial fee.

  • Payments can be made online through Hugg.co.in or partner payment gateways.

7. Risks & Benefits

Benefits: Improved coping skills, emotional relief, stronger self-awareness, and healthier relationships.
Risks: Temporary discomfort as you process emotions or confront challenges.

8. Client Rights

You have the right to:

  • Be treated with respect and dignity.

  • Ask questions about therapy or your therapist’s qualifications.

  • Decline or refuse techniques you are uncomfortable with.

  • Withdraw from therapy at any time.

  • Request referrals for additional support.

9. Records & Communication

  • Session notes are stored securely and used only for professional purposes.

  • Communication outside therapy (email/WhatsApp) is for logistics only—not for therapeutic discussions.

10. Crisis & Emergency Policy

Your safety is our priority.

  • If you experience thoughts of harming yourself/others, inform your therapist immediately.

  • In life-threatening situations, confidentiality may be broken to involve your emergency contact or appropriate services.

⚠️ Important: Hugg.co.in is not a 24/7 crisis service. If you are in crisis outside session hours, please call emergency services or helplines such as AASRA (91-98204-66726).

11. Consent to Therapy

I have read and understood the above information. I consent to participate in therapy with Therapist assigned by Hugg.co.in | Meluha Satvi Wellness Pvt. Ltd.
